Thanks, King Sport is the color, it was a two-stage job plus gloss. Prices are listed on the site, pretty reasonable if you ask me.

AK GarageWorks

Did you have to have the tires dismounted, or do they do mounting and balancing?

In every single case I've run across, you either do it yourself (assuming you have access to the proper equipment) or you have to pay someone to do it for you. I just paid the body shop that brokered the deal with the powder shop for me.

I dunno. Bronze rims done right look great on the gunmetal cars but I dunno about silver.

He's located in a business park, so he just had his neighbor(tire guy) across from him dismount them for a small fee. As for the remounting, I was able to get it done at Rollo's Solutions off of Richmond and Chimney Rock. A lot of shops were afraid to touch them, even got turned down at a Nissan dealership.

I'm probably at the expensive end. Paid $100/wheel plus $195 for special order powder. Also paid $100 to my tire store for tire swaps. (They ended up swapping three times. Only charged me for once).

Where are you located in Indiana? (Forgive me if I've asked before)

Mike 12-06-2012 08:54 PM

I charge 100 per wheel. most places won't want you to do your own prep, they can't guarantee its done correctly and have to redo it.
