Default Lug nut question

Can someone tell me which after market lug nuts for aftermarket wheels to STAY AWAY from? I've heard about racing lug nuts that can bend easily during hard driving over a period of time. If someone can tell me which brand and model to stay away from, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to make the right choices for future purchases. THANKS!!

UPDATE: guys, I went ahead and purchased Muteki's neo chrome...and here's what they look like. Sorry for the quality of the photo, I took it in the shade.

For safety, use stock nuts the best.

Stock wheels, stock lugs - end of story. I have not seen any aftermarket lugs that have the correct design for the stock wheels.

Aftermarket wheels, you can use after market lugs. I've been using the Muteki lugs on-track with no issues. You can use just about anything you want (except cheap ebay crap) so long as you verify they are 12x1.25 and the studs are long enough such that you have 8+ full rotations of the lug and that the lug internals are deep enough such that they don't bottom out on the stud.

a buddy of mine had titek's come off of his 350z on volk CE28's at zdayz last year. another friend was using them all the time but has since made them "show only" lugs, using the stock lugs (on stock wheels) for most trips and track events

Correct torque is critical. I'm pretty wary of the aluminum ones as it is, but if they are good quality and installed correctly then it should be safe.

At track days you have to re-torque the lugs after the first session no matter what you are using as things can move a bit with heat expansion.

If you plan on removing your wheels often for AutoX or track use you would want to go with a nice set of steel lugs

Other than that I would also recommend staying away from colored lugs since they fade over time

I won't be tracking my car. Just spirited driving every now and then. Plus, my after market wheels are 20".

Thanks! So glad someone is recommending them. I've been looking at them for a while. I think the neochrome will go well with my wheels.
Thanks again!

I have Project Kics r40 in Neo Chrome, they are awesome.

Its the Project Kics r26 you want to stay away from, those are more the race lugs...

I almost bought Muteki...can't go wrong with those or Blox lug nuts

No problem, I have ran NISMO's, TiTek's, Volk's, and now Muteki's and the Muteki's even though they are cheaper have been just as good as the others
