17" rims
What offset of 17x9 and 17x10 rims would be compatible with the 370z?
|
those would be super tiny looking. why would you do that?
Since the sport rays are 19x9 +47 19x10 +30 I would assume the same offsets would fit, no? |

Thank you though. |

Is anyone on here running 17's? |
Never seen a Z under 18s
|
17's? really?
|
go for it haha, like a hot wheels car. But like they said, diameter may not be enough. Base on the other hand...
|
Unless these are for winter wheels there is no reason to run such a small size
|
pretty sure 17's won't clear the calipers.
|
I had a set of 17" rims as my winter wheels on my old g35 but they didn't fit over brakes on the 370 so I don't think thats the way to go.
|
Alright, that's good to know guys. Thanks for the info.

BTW, as a matter of weight savings, I think the right 17's could also look great on the car, but strictly from the standpoint of fitment, I know of none that definitely clear the Akebonos without at least rubbing.
Doesn't mean there aren't any though. I think you need to measure the backspacing behind the 19's and see what wiggle room you have with smaller wheels. you might also check Grassroots Motor Sports or the Autox forums here to see if anyone has found a set that fits. If it can be done, I'm, sure someone is doing it. Otherwise, you'll have better luck finding a set of light 18's that will fit. |

One very good reason: Driver is looking to find the smallest size wheel possible in order to achieve the tallest tire sidewall for drag racing. I'm researching the same subject, which brought me to this thread. |
Definitely going to visit evasive motorsports and have them try to fit the wheels on my base Z which has base breaks. Then going to get all the measurements so that when I upgrade the breaks I'll be able to see what custom breaks I'd need to clear the wheels. Personally think the 17"s are gonna look cherry.
|
So... 2 years in and you still wanna try?
Why 17" though? |
Yeah, was doing other mods. I am leaving cosmetic stuff for last.
I like 17"s because I think they'll look great and unique. |
I appreciate wanting to do something unique, but I'm not sure if 17's are the way to do it.
There are times that I look at my car and feel that 19's are too small. Nissan shouldn't have made the wheel arches so big. |
Im sure they will work. I had them on my 350Z. Just check clearances but honestly I was wanting 18's or 19's. They seemed a little small on the 350 and Im sure they will look our of proportion on the 370. Have fun tho if you try and post up pics.
|
Will do.
I'll definitely try them on before getting a set. I am going for Volk TE37V in bronze. |
I've seen pictures on the forum of a 370Z with 17" wheels. I'm not sure if it had the base brakes or sports package. The main limiting factor may be the spoke design so that it clears the brakes.
