The stiff side wall of the front summer tires keeps the car planted hard on the road and on the highway, it's rock solid. I chose the all season for the rear since I drive well over 20k miles a year.

On the other hand, V12's have crappy soft sidewalls, and that's what I think the issue is.
Its not necessarily the sidewall, its the softness of rubber. The S04pp is a 240 while the 970 is 400 compound.

I put 18K on the original set of V12's with no issues whatsoever. This didn't happen to me until I replaced the rears without replacing the fronts. Therefore, I am quite sure that a new set of V12's on the front will take care of it.

I know that the Hankooks aren't the best track tire out there by a long shot. However, I really don't have any issues with them on a street car. I wonder how many people out there just parrot what some others say and have never run the V12's on their Z's. In my case they work great, and are much less expensive than some alternatives. YMMV.
