Well, forgestar told DDmotorsports to tell people 2-3 weeks for their wait time to get wheels. Took Dave384 over 6 weeks for his wheels to be delivered, and they were done poorly. His I believe whas DDM's first order for the F14's besides his own wheels. That being said, I ordered mine on Monday June 8th, it is now July 9th and still no wheels. Last update DDM got on my order was that they were just now calling the pinstriper to setup and appointment. over 2 weeks ago my wheels were finished except for the pinstripe and the lug holes weren't drilled yet. 2 WEEKS AGO, and they are just now setting up the appointment with the pinstriper....
I have been very unimpressed with forgestar up to this point. Frankly, I'm going to keep the ups guy here when they arrive so I can check them out. If there is anything wrong with them they are getting returned to sender and I'm getting my money back. |

I agree, that this is one incident as far as quality goes. There have been a lot of poeple who have gotten Forgestar wheels in all colors that are more than happy with them. Their blog is full of cars with Forgestars on them. The two sets that I have gotten personally have been perfect. The delay times are a whole other issue that nobody is happy about and Forgestar knows it. They are just going through the growing pains of being a new company that had quick success. Back when I first became a Forgestar dealer and ordered my set, wheels were taking 2-3 weeks, sometimes even less. Once they signed up more dealers and started getting their wheels on different cars for people to see it snowballed and they were flooded with orders. Needless to say, now I am quoting a longer wait time. I am not trying to make excuses for them, but it is an unfortunate side effect of a growing business that expanded too quickly for what they were prepared for. I know that Forgestar is just as frustrated with the delays as we are.

I'm hoping I am happy with the product to be honest. I love the style and I've seen the pictures of the quality on your wheels. However, like you said, when you were ordering your wheels they weren't taking long and they were coming out perfect. Maybe now with the increased pressure of a backlog to fulfill, they are having QA issues. I have been trying to have patience with the wait, but that is definitely wearing off at this point. I'm glad you are telling people with newer orders that the wait time will be longer, at least you won't have to deal with as many complaints as I'm sure you are dealing with right now. |

well said Mike!
I can vouch for these wheels...i've seen them up close and in person on Mike's car...I hope they can get this figured out quickly as they are a company with a lot of potential!

Just to update everyone, I received my prepaid packing slips from Forgestar yesterday and got the wheels dismounted today. I decided to take some pictures of all the wheels side by side from various vantage points to show the differences. I tried to make sure that all the wheels had an even overlay of light on them so that the true differences could be seen and sunlight would not play a part.
Just to clear up any confusion. The two choices I was given were to replace ONLY the right rear (RR) [not the left rear (LR)] or send all of the wheels back. I chose to send all of the wheels back for reasons obvious in the pictures even though I am out a total of $120 for twice mounting/dismounting. Once again, they are very nice wheels, and I would have been okay with any one of the colors that I was presented with. I just wanted all of them to be the same color. ![]() From left to right (RR, LR, front wheels) ![]() From top to bottom (RR, LR, front wheels) ![]() ![]() From left to right (RR, LR) ![]() From left to right (LR, front) ![]() Front wheels ![]()

I did talk to them to see what they could do. I was under the impression for about 2 weeks that they were replacing both of the rear wheels, and I was a happy camper except for the additional wait time. I later found out that they only intended to replace the one rear wheel, though. They said they would NOT replace both rear wheels. They must not have agreed that both of the rear wheels were different colors than the front. Granted, I didn't show them these most recent photos because I didn't have the wheels off the car until today. Believe me, I didn't want to have to ship the wheels back because that ultimately costs me more money in mounting/dismounting. It was the only option I was left with, though, because I wasn't going to drive the car around with one wheel that was a different color than the rest.
