wstar 08-27-2009 03:21 PM

Is that shopped or did someone get their wheels stolen? Surely nobody would do that to a Z on purpose :(

nogoodname 08-27-2009 03:22 PM

someone got there wheels stolen

sloterg 09-10-2009 08:08 AM

wowsers i just read the whole thread..

caravan=FML situation

Caravanshaka 09-10-2009 08:14 AM

yup...today is 94 days...FML

sloterg 09-10-2009 08:29 AM

uve waited a lil over a half of a half year for these rims

ouch, and i really like how they look too :(

tvfreakazoid 09-11-2009 03:12 AM

They seem shady and have terrible customer service. Do not buy from them.

Pointman 09-12-2009 03:43 AM

Damm, I was gonna order a set of the flat blacks... Any suggestions for other rims... I would prefer flat black in color...

travisjb 09-12-2009 08:32 AM

give it another week or two... they'll start producing eventually, then no reason not to buy... not to take away from 'tvfreakazoid' b/c the lateness is inexcusible, but... how much customer service do you need on a set of wheels? lol

the reason not to buy is b/c the rims wont show up for awhile and the rims may not match with each other..... :icon23:

wait til they get things back on track, if they ever will

I thought this exact same thing before everything went wrong with my wheels. Customer service and how they deal with problems plays a large role in the success of most companies. When I was waiting on my wheels from Forgestar and it had reached the 6 or 7 week mark (which seems like not a big deal now compared to other peoples' wait times) I asked them if they could overnight ship them to me, and they flat out told me "no". It's those little things which won't cost them a lot of money but will please the consumer that would help them out a lot. I will consider buying from them again in the future if no other wheel options present themselves, but I will have to see some people actually receive their wheels and have a good feeling that they have gotten their issues all sorted out.

CrownR426 09-12-2009 12:57 PM

One question, why doesn't forgestar come on this forum and explain to us why the f'ed up? How hard is it to package some rims and send them out? I'm partially color blind but I could tell those rims didn't match and caravan has been waiting far too long. The only reason why I like forgestar is cause of ddm. TSK TSK

travisjb 09-12-2009 06:36 PM

you guys are right... the lateness is totally inexcusable and what happened to caravan was just flat wrong... i'll stop apologizing for them! still holding out hope that the wheels rock though!!!

I was starting to wonder if you were an employee :roflpuke2:

Support counts. Im not rich, and every hard earned dollar matters. This car is a strecth on my budget, but you only live once. $1500.00 for any mod means lots of extra hours to cover all the bills. The last thing I would want, would be to spend that money for a F#$K#D up product and then get hosed. I look it at like this, $1500.00 = 50 hours of my life. The last thing you want is someone to take a week and a day or so away from you. Sorry if I sound like a bitch....

your a more patient person than I...and I admire you for that

However, forgestar will NOT be getting my business...

i will most likely go with Vossen wheels...

I agree, but +20 is the lowest offset they go on the rear. I'll likely run a 10mm spacer

BTW, I think we are on 100 days now and still nothing...

Forgestar won't come on the forum and say anything, it's hard enough to get them to answer an e-mail, and most of the responses I have gotten were "please speak with your dealer for details".

I've had $1,550 tied up with this company for over 3 months and haven't seen a damn thing. Yes, I paid up front since DDM requires that.

so, are they sending you a new set or refunding you?

i thought you were getting a refund?

Caravanshaka 09-13-2009 01:34 PM

Mike offered me a refund, but he's gonna get stuck with the bill since there are "no refunds" on custom made wheels.

That being said, I haven't found any other wheels that I like that are even close to the cost of these wheels with similar weights. If I find something before they send anything I'll cancel, but the only wheels I would like are the new concave vossens and they aren't even out yet =/

sloterg 09-13-2009 01:35 PM

dam that sucks..

that being said...which Vossens in my wheel poll would you put on a red z?

Caravanshaka 09-13-2009 01:38 PM

gonna go find it and vote...but if it's not the concave's then I'd suggest waiting for them first

sloterg 09-13-2009 01:40 PM

does anyone have a pic of the concave's its not coming up on the search..

Caravanshaka 09-13-2009 01:43 PM

I think they removed the 3d renderings they had up for a poll. If I recall, they are 10-spokes and extremely concave and beautiful =)

sloterg 09-13-2009 01:43 PM

i really like those concave renderings they made from forged.. too bad they are way too expensive

Caravanshaka 09-13-2009 01:44 PM

http://www.the370z.com/wheels-tires/...el-design.html

this was the thread. Think the 360 forged concave multi

kdo2milger 09-13-2009 01:48 PM

pictures dont show in that thread now

Caravanshaka 09-13-2009 01:52 PM

ya, they removed them from flickr...was just posting up what was said about them.

I'll bet they get theirs completely through concept-production before forgestar can finish my 4 wheels...

sloterg 09-13-2009 01:53 PM

oh wait yeah on the second to last page.. they have the renderings..
