Mickey Thompson Street Tires
I am inquiring about your experience with Mickey Thompson's new street tires (Street Comp) brand. This is not a slick or drag radial tires that MT has made over the years.
The tires need not be on your 370Z. |
Found below
New Mickey Thompson Street Comp is a Cooper RS3-S Tire Rack doesnt sell MT nor Cooper so no objective test results there....I'm very curious how these stack up against tires like RE11 and PSS |
I've got them on my 350z. They are not that model cooper tires. If you take a good look at the pictures you'll see several differences. I took my Conti tires & wheels & put them on my 240sx. Conti tires also have a similiar look. Anyway love my conti & the M/T are just great too. Recommend both.

I don't like/use spacers! Looking good is nice but I'm more interested in performance & fun. I don't street race BUT I live in the country & a drive on curvy, empty, country roads is more important to me than big rear tires/small front tire look. That & 0 to 130+mph on streightways. Spacers & weight on front wheels is not for me. I also don't care for big wheels & thin, hard, noisy tires. Rubber & air serve a purpose. Also the sizes I use are for a 350z & 240sx. Having said ALL that:) I have M/T 245/45/18 on stock wheels in the front & 255/45/18 in the rear. The 240 now has my Z set up, Conti. ExtreneContact DW 235/45/17 front & 275/40/17 rear, 5 Zigen wheels. Both tires & sizes/set up are much, much, better than stock in handling dry/wet & snow. Both cars now feel VERY balanced(weight distribution) & have a much better smoother drive. Less noise, NO THUMP sound. 370 they are not, so more details not needed. |
