From the picture it looks like protective film. There is often quite a bit on a new car.
Our used 2010 still had film on the aluminum dead pedal for example when we got it in 2012...no one noticed it. Well...*I* noticed it. It had a red hue...so don't know how others missed it  If the film is subtle and well adhered, its easy to miss. Some dealers are far dumber then they appear to be. - b |
