slime tire inflator

anyone used there products? was considering removing my spare tire and tools and just buying the repair kits they have.

If its one of those products that inject a liquid into the tire you cannot use them with the TMPS system, it will ruin the sensors.

that stuff can also mess up the inside rim surface. youd prob have to leave it in awhile which would be dumb though.

for a quick emergency i would use it if i didnt have the spare.

That's what road side assistance is for! LOL I have it tacked on my insurance :) anyways, the liquid stuff leaves a nasty residue inside the tire and unbalances the tire which will create vibration in highway speeds. I only used it once on a prior car and this happend to me.

how much is it by the way? I've never had it.

It varies by State so consult with your insurance company. Its very cheap regardless.

This stuff only works if its a pin hole, if its a 1/4". its useless.
It takes paint right off wheels (inside)as Fuct said, not that it really matters
but, ive seen it where its moved towards the lip, When the tire
is removed, paint from the wheel comes with it.
Also, its hard to get a patch to stick to the tire after
its been soaked in oil for 3 weeks.
It may say its safe for TPMS, but im pretty
sure it isnt. But could be wrong...
Just my .02 cents.

I know the roadster comes with slime and an inflator so I thin it is TPMS safe.
