Change new tire, now the z is slippin?
Anyways i had a nail in one of my rears, the car has 2500 miles total. I had to switch out the tire with the nail in it.
The new tire has about 100 miles. The problem is when i start going through corners now i notice the rear slipping a bit now. Is it cause the new tires hasn't broken in yet or did the guys at nissan jacked someshit up? The other tires have 2500 miles on them, the new one has about 100 or so. Kinda feels scary, this is with VDC ON. Before the nail in my rear tire i would drive with confidence and the car never behaved this way. Do i have to do anything special since only one tire was changed? alignment or anything? |

Same tire? No changes?
Then it is probably needing a little "burn in" time... take it easy for a few hundred clicks to get to the good rubber!

Your tires still have mold release agent on them. It's a lubricant so that the tires can actually be pulled out of the machine they're made in. The layer needs to burn off.
And yes, this thin layer will actually dramatically lower grip. It softens the exterior rubber (not in a way that increases grip). Wait about 500 miles. That's what most tire manufacturers recommend, iirc.

part of it could be your lsd. You see, since one of the back tires went out, the tread depth is different between the two. So even driving in a staright line your two rear tires are moving at different speeds, which will also give you a slip feeling in the rear...fyi. Also it is not a good idea to keep it like that for that long.

2500 miles total on the car would not have that much tread depth difference to cause a slip in the LSD....

And the new tiers have about 100 now. I doubt there is any wear really on the other tires to the point where i shouldn't be running them together. |

and u now have taller tread walls which will flex a little more under hard cornering. so as i tire wears a little it actually handles better. i had the exact same issue, but dont worry. give it about 1000 miles to break in and it will be fine

Or you could do a burnout/peelout/launch or two and just take off the release agent almost immediately.
