Which wheel setup would you chose?

Lightweight 19" Volks TE37SL or 20" Work Gnosis Gs2 with the lip. :yum:

On a pearl white 370z with the Amuse kit.

TE37 not only look better, they'll perform better

SPOHN 08-14-2012 07:15 PM

This was to simple. TE37

I like 5 star wheels. So #2

Amuse370z 08-14-2012 08:02 PM

The Volks are about 7 lb lighter per rim. I would save $600 going with the Work wheels however.

What about tire costs? Does that level the short and long term cost of the wheels?

How heavier/lighter are they from stock?

Do they make the first wheel in silver/lighter finishes?

Amuse370z 08-14-2012 09:24 PM

370Z Stock weights:
Sport 19×9.0: 23.20 lbs (10.52 kg)
Sport 19×10.0: 23.80 lbs (10.80 kg)

TE37SL 19x9.5" +22: 20.4 lbs
TE37SL 19x10.5" +22: 20.8 lbs.

The Gnosis are about 32 lb.

Hankook Ventus V12 20" tires are about $25 cheaper each compared to the 19s.

I had to think about this... for like .3 seconds! Volks!

sfearl1 08-14-2012 09:38 PM

I'd go with plain TE37's. I don't really dig the look of the SL's at all.

jlbrenne 08-15-2012 08:03 AM

I'm a looks and sound guy. I'd go with 20" Work Gnosis Gs2 with the lip. However, if your racing/draging you already know the answer.

it depends on what you are wanting to do with the car but generally i'd say get the volks. the works do look good though. if you want a show car, they are hard to beat. just so you know, there are some new TE37 CL's (i believe?) on the horizon that are substantially lighter than the SL's. might be worth the wait cause they should cost about the same

GaleForce 08-15-2012 08:35 AM

I would do both. The Work for show and driving around town, the Volk for track days.

kevpotts 08-15-2012 10:23 AM

How is this even a question? Volks hands down. The Work Gnosis Gs2s don't suit the 370 at all in my opinion. They should be reserved for something more VIP styled.

These? I didn't know they were being released?

Yep this is more of a Light weight performance wheel vs Heavy show wheel.

The lip and the 20" just looks great on the Z, it fills the wheel well very nice.

+ 12 lb/ wheel is very significant and I should be able to feel the car being slower for sure.
