Yes of course, if the tire is wider, you do not need as low of an offset.
Also different tire manufacturers have a different side wall profiles. PSS have a flat side wall profile which does not stick out much. The same size tire in a different make, might stick out more due to a different side wall profile. The calculator does not take this into an account.
