Work Wheels - Different lips?
I've noticed that some work wheels have lips that look like this:

and a lot of the wheels Work carries are offered in both options.

I see, I see.
Is there any advantage of one over the other? Such as added strength...or weight? |

They don't make the step lip in the 19" gs4 because they don't make an 18" gs4. To make the step lip in a 20" lets say, they would use a 19" face and a 20" barrel and so on.
To the OP's question, no the step lip and standard lip are the same strength. I would guess the step lip would be a tiny bit lighter. Do to the smaller face, like the 19" face on a 20" barrel, or you could just get the 19" wheel and it would be lighter all around. |
