It should reset within a mile. Does it flash before going solid? Did they plug it or patch it?

Did you check the pressure after the repair? I think the light will be on with any pressure less than about 26psi. I agree with sonic370.....if the pressure is above 27psi and you have driven the light should reset within a few nmiles of driving. Worst case, you can take it to a dealer and have them reset it with the Consult.

Above 40psi will also trigger the TPMS light.

they torn down the tire of the rim is that standard then balanced it. Which I thought was strange they took off the other weights. Re balance and then mounted |

It is possible that the TPMS sensor got damaged during dismounting/mounting. You'll have to get it checked out. You can also try dropping the tire pressure to 25psi, driving a couple of miles and then re-set to 35psi, drive another 2 miles and see if that resets it.

i think baer had a DIY on tpms reset procedure. check it out.
i stopped using TPMS a while ago as it gave me more errors than anything.. plus swapping wheels often so it's tiresome to get it reprogrammed. i ignore the light. |

related hijack..... I just put on new rubber and while wheels were at PC I ran other rays that had no sensors..... do I need to go to dealer to clear? should it self clear eventually?
all tires set to 35 psi. Are all the sensors the same? Possible I goofed and mixed 09 sensors with 2011 sensors. I like my sensors, I've had it tell me i picked up a nail etc and allowed me to repair before I put a lot of heat into a low pressure tire.

yah, the car needs to learn the TPMS in your wheelset your dealer has the tools to do it, some tire shops can do it too.
the only down side is that the car can learn only one set of TPMS sensors at a time... so if you have a few sets of wheels, you will have to either re-register each time you use the other set or ignore the light. so for me, i dont bother using TPMS as i rarely only have one set of wheels for my hobby car. |
