Looks like it's back already from my laptop
Michelin*Pilot Super Sport

It's a mail-in rebate instead of an instant one, but still $70 off.

hey thanks! :icon17: but my DW's still has life left. looks like will be doing lots of 180 locks. :rofl2:

XwChriswX 06-26-2012 11:22 AM

I got my first set of PSS' in the Summer of '11, I'm still running the fronts and they still have 8/32's on them. :icon17: My rears wore out a long time ago and had to swap them to longer treadlife tires with lower cost. :(

My next full set when these 4 run out will be PSS' again. :excited:

TheGreatOne 06-26-2012 02:00 PM

I guess these will be the next tires for sure (instead of trying Nitto's)

Mainly because I ran into a buddy who says he can get Michelin at cost, and quoted me $190/each on the rears...I'm thinking thats pretty sweet, l just have to make sure he's not blowing smoke lol

 $190/tire for PSS rears? :yum:

I love the Nitto Invos, but there are a bunch of people on this forum who will tell you that's only because I haven't run the PSS's yet.

hello mr. onzedge, mr. galeforce, mr. kenchan, ms. pint, et al

kenchan 06-26-2012 02:07 PM

yah, nitto's... the surprise tire. no slip no slip no slip sudden slip

PSS are vastly superior to Nitto INVO.

Dunno about the rest of you... I've got almost 10K miles on them and my Invos only slip when I want them to slip :stirthepot:

Seriously, though, less than 1K miles into them I was driving in the rain and had to try a lot harder than I expected to throw the rear end around some corners. Next up I will have to try it in the PSS's.

You drive to slow. I have to willfully drive off the road to get the PSS to slip.

:roflpuke2:

Oh yeah? Well I have to lube my Invos in bacon grease, pour KY all over my driveway and adjoining road surfaces and then clutch dump out of my garage just to chirp the tires :icon17:

The invo isn't intended to compete. It's a luxury performance tire that is sold in odd sizes and ok with being stretched.

i just got my super sports mounted today! not only do they look classy as hell...well i actually cant review them yet as i only put 4 miles on them lol

but i went with the stock 245/35 up front and since i got a deal, i went with 305's in the rear just for the heck of it! looks aggressive as hell with 305's !!

im also running 20mm spacers all around, fronts are fine still, however its a bit much in the rears now, most likley gonna take those off.

geddy lee 06-29-2012 01:04 PM

The 275ZR3019s are $ 314.00 each on tirerack!!!

The new Car and Driver Magazine has a test/review of 10 performance summer tires and guess which one came out in first place. Can you guess? Which one was it....? Hmmmm...

Right -- the Pilot Super Sport.

DarkJak 06-29-2012 02:32 PM

Ordered the PSS a couple days ago really late at night. Unfortunately, I typed in my CC wrong and they contacted me in the morning about it. BUT, it's shipped and should be on the car in a week. I'm excited :)

I got my 255/35/19 and 295/30/19 setup for $1,699.95 about two weeks ago. Plus they had a $70 rebate deal going on at the time, loving every min. of them, monster grip in the wet and dry...:driving:

geddy lee 06-30-2012 01:56 PM

^ I'll pay the price , if they are that good. I'll be needing some in about 2K miles.

FPenvy 07-03-2012 10:34 AM

i got about 1000 miles on mine so far and i love them. all around amazing tire. there's also been some 1/8 and 1/4 mile runs on them and they def have some grip to them for a street tire.

Why would anyone take out brake fuse and vdc? If you have good enough tires the tires wont spin also im upgrading my vdc so I dont have to worry about spinning tires (which only wastes time and rubber) unless your in a burnout contest the less wheel spin the quicker the car goes. Lamans cars have vdc tudor championship series cars(nissan 370Z in this series) have vdc so if race cars that fly around the track use high tech vdc so am I. Anyone ripping out fuses and vdc are dumb and only goung yo waste money on tires needlesly because the poor tires are just standing still spinning and smoking. Which even a slow 83 crown vic could do!
