Tread life on the RE-11's?
I'm getting close to the point where I need to replace my rears with some tires, and I was wondering how long the RE-11's last. I'm estimating to get only about 11k-12k out of my stock RE050A's, and that's just not good enough for me.
EDIT: Now that I think about it, I think my estimation is sorta low. I might be able to stretch it to 13k or perhaps more, depending on how I drive, haha.

Extreme Performance Tires are not made for high milage
But again the types of roads do play a part in your milage. I'm in the same position and just ordered a set for the rear. Mine is a daily and I only commute 14 miles daily. High milage is not a concern for me but grip is |

My RE-11 rears are at about 10k right now and they still look pretty decent. For reference I got about 15k out of my first and second set of stock rears. I see no problem in getting at least that much out of these RE-11's.

No idea but I hope they last longer than the stock sport ones

Under the same conditions, I think you will get about same mileage out of RE-11s. I switch back and fourth between my stock tires and RE-11s (different wheels) The RE-11s have less mileage on them but show about the same wear. But I do drive harder on the RE-11s so it's probably a wash under the same driving conditions.

I've got about 8-9k on my RE-11's with long(4+ hours) trips back and forth to Orlando and such and also one Auto-X session and I'm guessing they have about 60-70% left in the fronts and 30-40% in the rears. I just don't do burnouts or drift the car to preserve tires a bit.
FWIW I got like 24k out of my stock tires

Pushing 13k and have lots of tread left. They have scrubbed down to the second compound and noticed a rougher ride. I heard they were designed to wear out the sticky compound then have a harder compound to give the tire life even more miles. I am hoping for 18k. Very happy with these high performance tires. DD and weekend canyon carving.

Just under 14k on the originals and hoping to make them last until next year. My plan is to replace them with Michelin PSS right before ZdayZ 2013.

Hm, thanks for the input guys. I drive my car pretty hard, in comparison to most. Quick through turns and stuff. Definetly not good for the tread life, that's for sure.
It seems like the S-04 PP's have pretty good tread life, at least compared to other Potenzas. I might be getting a set of those, and sacrifice the ultimate grip of the RE-11's and get more tread wear. I'll be going 295 or 305, so I'll still have way more grip than I did before.
