Personally, I think if you are going to spend that kind of cash on wheels, go with something like the volk GT-30. talk to Sharif at forged performance and he can get you the right sizes. They come in many different finishes, and are going to be stronger, lighter, and more durable for about the same amount of cash...not to mention they are beautiful what color is your car?? platinum graphite with white interior , i still have about a month to decide gotta take my boards first then ill start really shopping around , i just needed a rough guide on what i had to look for size/tire wise , before i started this thread i thought 10.5 was the max rear width i could go (like my old g35) , lol , those are nice rims btw... i couldnt find any hre dealers with bigger than 10.5 when i was searching
plasmaball: i like the love of 20's but i noticed when i got 20's on my g35 it slowed the car down a bit and did a lil worse on gas. so if ur looking strictly for looks (like me ) go with 20 , if u want a good cross between performance and looks 19's Last edited by Argos; 06-15-2009 at 10:13 PM. |

I googled "HRE 590r sizes" and one of the top 2 or 3 places had 18-20 inch diameter with 9-12.5 sizes. I can't remember the exact place but it shouldn't be hard to spot if you google that phrase. Problem is they were like $1,800 each or something like that.
That finish I linked would look great with the platinum graphite, the big polished lip would really make the wheels stand out as well. If you go chrome with 20" wheels you will likely experience what you did with your G35, a little slower response and lower gas mileage. This is because chrome wheels are HEAVY. It wouldn't surprise me to hear that those wheels were 35+lbs each. If you go with a volk monoblock wheel you are looking at low 20's in weight, which is a tiny bit lighter than the stock rays 19" from the sport package, so you won't have that issue. But in general, yes, 20's are more for looks, 19's are a good mix of looks and performance, and 18's are great for the track. |

I'm actually with TravisJB here, I ordered a full set of 19" forgestar F14's from DDMotorsports for $1,400 shipped. Great wheels and you can't beat the price. I stayed with stock sizing of 9" wide up front and 10" wide out back because I won't be taking it hardcore to the track so the extra tire isn't going to help me all that much on the streets, and the extra tire costs quite a bit more over the life of the car. Once I wear the stock tires out I'm going either 255 or 265 wide in front, and 285 or 295 out back. Plasmaball, if you find a wheel you want PM me with the wheel details and I can help you figure out widths, offsets, and tire sizes. Argos, to be honest I think a 305 on a 12" wide wheel is going to look stretched. you will likely want a 325 on 12" wide, if you want to run 305 get 11" wide. |

DDMotorsports: Forgestar Wheels! Forged 1-Piece! for the 19" TravisJB l inked the thread for the 18" wheels, which is what most of the people are going to use for track wheels. They will be making 20" in the near future as well. DDmotorsports also has a used set for sale with tires for $2,100 |
