Default Wheel Range On Stock Tire?

I wanna get new wheels, but I don't want to buy new tires. Do i have any lee-way with what size I buy? Or do I have to buy 19x9's and 19x10's?
My tires are 245/40WR19 (front) and 275/35WR19 (rear) BridgestoneŽ PotenzaŽ high-performance tires.
Thanks for the help

According to the tire specifications sheet you could go as wide as 9.5" front by 11" rear. Obviously it will look a little more stretched than stock.

We're using the stock tires for now on our Volk GTS in 19x9.5 and 19x10.5. There is a slight amount of stretch, but nothing excessive:

Good to know. Are there any long term affects of a little stretching?

Other than the wheel being alot less protected what are the side affects?

I went with 9.5 and 10.5 19's Forgelines. There is bit of a stretch but not bad. I had planned to go with larger tires but sold the car first. The wheels are in the classifieds. There are photos which may give you some idea of the look.

If you stay within the tire manufacturer specs there is no detriment other than perhaps looks.
