Do some tires/wheels hold air pressure better than others?

I've had my z for 15 months now and it's a daily driver, and parks outside on the driveway every night. I noticed with Sport wheels/tires (and now Hankook v12 replacement in the rear) that I've never had to fill up or adjust air at all except when it's winter time. All the beating I've put them through (burnouts, drifting, launches, high speed runs), it's never read any other number except 35 everytime.
I'm curious because other cars I've had or dealt with had to get a fill every once in a while or just had randomly different air pressures all around the car after some time. So what's the deal?

1psi change per 10F ambient temp change if you are using air.

nitrogen will change much less.

Valvestems can also affect tire pressure... Most aluminum valve stems will leak overtime. I have experienced it in the past with track wheels on my other cars. The stock rubber stems seem to hold up better.

hummmm... not in my case. my SSR's and Weds both use metal stems and they do not leak air. the metal caps themselves have o-rings inside to seal for dual air cap.
