What wheels should I get?

I got a base Z just finally got it paid off what should I get?

theDreamer 05-04-2012 10:31 AM

What style do you want? Lightweight? 5 spoke v. 12 spoke? Concave or Lip?
Do you plan to track the car at all?

Unrealviet 05-04-2012 10:43 AM

No just to look nice and drive around. I got a black z.

Vaarsteon wheels. Cheap ($900-$1200 for 4), decent looking, simple. If you don't care about weight, you're good.

OMGWTFBBQ 05-04-2012 11:37 AM

This is such a broad question. Something that might look nice to me might look like complete garbage to you and vice versa. It comes down to what type of wheel you like as Dreamer mentioned. Try looking in here?

not tryin to be rude or anything, but why dont you just look online and see what you like and dont like? personally, when i buy anything, the one thing i never even consider (cosmetically speaking) is another person's opinion. maybe im crazy...

zguynate 05-04-2012 12:21 PM

I agree. Very broad question. There are too many factors for us to give you perfection in your eyes. Go to the link that OMGWTFBBQ posted. That will be a great place to start!

light (max 23lbs) and :yum: looking.

Unrealviet 05-04-2012 12:39 PM

I'm willing to spend up to 2,500.

For everyone else I just wanted to hear good recommendations.

Avant Garde M560 2499 two piece work wheel collaboration.

Avant Garde M310 always a great deal at 1199

Or you can do Forgestar which will be in the 1500-1600 range.

Unrealviet 05-04-2012 12:47 PM

Forgestar which ones?

GetYourWheels 05-04-2012 01:08 PM

F14/cf10/cf5

Omikron 05-04-2012 02:57 PM

TSW Rotary Forged (Interlagos and the Mesh one) - About Same price as the Avante Garde/Forgestars.

19" are 22lb (9.5) /23-24 (10.5)

Lighter weight than all the Avante Garde and Forgestars... I think they are all 24-26/28 ish.

Eric @ GetYourWheels can hook you up on those also ;)

Correct me if I am wrong Eric

We also distribute TSW however the Interlagos or Nurburgring only come in a 10.5 +27 on the rear which most forum members would say is weak :(

Most customers would rather not run spacers. But yes a 15mm spacer would make the tsw wheels flush.

If I could kill the 6 grand I would get HRE p40sc. Bad @$$ rims. But for my budget I probably go varrstoen. A lot of fellas have them and they say nothing but good things do far IMO.
