Default Continental Contact DW are on closeout?

I was planning on buying a set of these soon to help with the tire noise. I'm suprised that the fronts are listed as on closeout at tire rack.

Does anyone have insight? Will there be a replacement tire or should I panic and buy now? This tire seems to be a very popular option, it would be a shame if it went away.

Good news is that they offer a free crappy e-reader if you buy 4 CC tires.

I heard that Continental is making an new-version of the Continental DW tires. Hence, the close out price on Tirerack.

Too bad tire rack doesn't have a 275/40/18 rear or I would have had some Contis. I went with V12s. They're not bad. Still not broken in yet either so I can't hate.

oh is that right... yah, i noticed that the 245/40/19's were on closeout but the 275/35/19's, when i looked last week, were not. oh well.

guess more reason for me to burn through my DW's quickly to replace with PSS.

Just bought some a few weeks ago. If you want to know for sure, call Continental in NC. I called them because I was getting all kinds of conflicting information about the DWS and they were helpful in straightening out the confusion.

im at 300 miles on mine and these are the worst tires ive ever owned...maybe its just the breakin but its scary driving on these. just a warning to anyone who wants to pick these up. sidewall is super soft, as are the tread blocks. they grip well, but are far too soft!!

Are you on a matching set or just running them on one axle?
