Reference: Wheel Spacers for 18" base wheels
I know there is already a wheel spacers 101 thread. But almost all of the conversation and pictures are of the sport wheels. I just recently installed wheels spacers on my base wheels and decided to share my pics to give those base wheel users some reference on what they want to do.
Feel free to upload photos of spacers on your base wheels for comparison. I just kinda took a shot in the dark for my set up I wanted aggressive! Thanks bro, I am wanting the exact same setup for my car!

For sure. While the base wheels aren't the best. I plan on keeping mine for about a year or so. And this makes a HUGE difference in the stance. The pics really don't even do it justice. Now to get rid of that wheel gap. COILS!
|
Yea that's what I plan on doing once I get the funds for it, hopefully my summer job will do just that!

I got my front and rears for 200. Not a special brand but they had hub centric rings. That's all I was concerned about. I confirmed fitting before the install and they were spot on. There is no milling so they are heavy but w/e they aren't permanent. Rims are far down on the list.

Great thread OP. Thank you. I won't be going that wide but I needed to see someone with base 18" rims. :)

Maybe a little too out for my liking but looks good nonetheless.

Question...
The OP listed 25mm front / 38mm rear which is more aggresive.... Does anyone know what combination f/r you would use on 18" base wheels that would be more flush or a hair within the fender?
I have used spacers on other vehicles that were slightly aggresive and when car is lowered the fender rubs the sidewall of the tire on the road dips. Thanks :tiphat: |

I went 25 all around. Looks good IMO.

I read through the wheel spacers 101 thread several times and then this one specific to the 18" stock wheels.
I see that Ihinojos went with Ichiba 20mm all around. Are those V1's or V2"? I have a 2013 Base Coupe (18") rims and was considering going with H&R Trak DRM 20mm up front and 25mm rears. Checking the Stillen website for the H&R's, they mention that the 20mm "will not fit" Front 370Z wheels. Is this specific for the H&R Trak DRM's? or is this a misprint. Referenced here; H&R 20.0mm DRM Type TRAK+ Wheel Spacers 4065663 HR4065663 | STILLEN edit: I will be stock height, no plans for any mods in that area anytime soon. Looking for the same ones listed on the CZP site no mention of "No Fit" is made: H&R Trak+ 20mm Wheel Spacer Kit 5x114.3 DRM - 370Z - Nissan performance parts Also looked up the V2's for Ichiba and no mention is made for a "No Fit" for fronts Sorry but thoroughly confused ! Perhaps I am still missing something in all the threads, but seems many are running 20mm DRM types up front. Any help is greatly appreciated as I like to stick with the bolt on Type 2 or (DRM) versions and no "poke" so would not want to consider anything past 20mm up front. Thanks much for any assistance / clarifications. |
Just to answer my own question and perhaps assist others.
Did some more research and ended up tracking down the info for Ichiba spacers. Here are the stock part numbers for V2 (Bolt On's) 370Z 2009 & Up:
Referenced website: 370Z 09+ The H&R's DRM (Bolt On's) 370Z 2009 & Up are as follows:
Reference website: trakplus.com Ichiba's tend to be advertised a little less expensive by $15 or $20 a pair. |
