305 Rears + 20mm spacer = ???

Im prob. going to need a new set of tires and ive settled on 305/30/19 in the rear, but im contemplating 20mm spacers to get rid of the gap? If i do this combo, will i have a mexican poke?

Front: 265/35/19 + 15mm H&R DRS
Rear: 305/30/19 + 20mm H&R DRS

Thanks,

P.s. i searched the forum and couldn't find a similar thread.

20mm on 305s will be extremely close to flush. You haven't mentioned what wheels these are going on, so I'm assuming it's the sport stockers.

If you drop the car and run a tiny bit of extra camber in the rear, you will need 25mm to bring it out.

here's mine on 305's w/25mm spacers in the rear on swift springs. stock sport wheels. There's a little sidewall bulge with the Hankook ventus v12s im running- if you ran a different tire with a stiffer sidewall such as the stock bridgestones, it would be perfectly flush.

lol... I am going in today (hopefully) to get the same Hankook 305's put on the rear. I have the swifts, 20mm spacers and custom camber too!

So thanks for the Preview of the fit! lol

OP: I will post pictures of mine with the 20mm spacer. It will be different because I am dropped though...

PS: Get the 275/35/19 for the front though, keeps things within spec....

Exactly what I needed!

Ok i sold my volk GT-30's to my friend. He put them and some spacer on his black 370. He is lowered about 3" front and rear on coilovers, his specs now are 20x9.5+10 front and 20x10.5 -5 in the rear. He is runnings some camber in ther rear and the tires are 255/30/20 F. & 305/25/20 R.

Lots of other pics in here but his is the black 370 w/Volks.

Isn't 275 in the front too big? Wouldn't it rub?

wheee! 03-31-2012 09:56 AM

Not with the Swift springs and increased camber

rambunctious 03-31-2012 12:39 PM

I'm on stock though... :(

I went with the 275/35 19's on the front... nice and meaty!

LakeShow 05-05-2012 06:29 PM

Damn those 305's with the spacers. :yum:

rambunctious 05-05-2012 06:52 PM

Any issues with 275 up front? Rubbing? Any other suspension work? Also what spacers are you running up front?

No rubbing issues at all. No Camber arms either. Just H&R spacers

Swifts give me -1.7 camber too....

Newbie question but does the wider tires give better handling ?

wheee! 05-10-2012 07:18 AM

Possibly. That depends on the type of driving you're doing. I did it for the aesthetics...

zellsexy 05-10-2012 09:38 AM

For canyon driving cornering and
Sharp turns

fuct 05-10-2012 10:08 AM

99% of the drivers here will not notice a 20mm wider stance while driving.

wheee! 05-10-2012 11:01 AM

...but everyone else behind you will :p

haha good one!

zellsexy 05-10-2012 01:24 PM

So worth paying more to go 305 width for handling or you dont think so

wheee! 05-10-2012 01:30 PM

It's worth more to go to 305 for the looks alone... performance is a side benefit!

KaienZ34 05-10-2012 02:27 PM

305 :yum: for looks, not needed unless your going boost. 295 is plenty grip wise as long as your running good tires PSS, RE-11's something like these and your set.

zellsexy 05-10-2012 03:46 PM

I was thinking might as well go all the way why stop at 295 hehe

wheee! 05-10-2012 04:56 PM

The 305 30 19 keeps almost the same wheel diameter too...
