245/285 on 9.5/11

anyone running 245/35/19 285/30/19 on 9.5 and 11 inch rims, respectively? I'm looking to have a tiny stretch and am stuck between that and 255(f) 295(r) combo. Please weigh in if you had or had the above setups and how they look and effect handling characteristics. thanks!

The circumference of the tire is going to be too small... If you want a tiny stretch do
245-40-19 and 285-35-19... The sidewalls you have listed are too small.

Hope that helps

I assume this is for a 370z right? I see your Sig has 07 Civic??

Below is my old 350Z i had a 255-35-19(on a 9.5width) and 275-35-19 (on a 10.5width)

The white Z is a car that is running smaller then stock size circumference to show you a reference of how it does not fill in the wheel well as much

Volk Z did you have any rubbing issues on the rears running a 275/35 on the rear?

TerribleONE 03-29-2012 05:04 PM

I would go 255 / 295 however I am not a big fan of stretched tires..

I've just put mine on, running 255 on a 9.5, it's got slight stretch, looks good.

305 on the 10.5 and it sits perfect, no stretch but looks aggresive because of the wheel and camber. 295 on 11 is going to give you some stretch probably similar to the front

thats what i'm looking for!
anyone have clear photos of this??
also...
why are people running different sized side walls from to back? ie. 35 front and 30 back.. why not 35 35 like Volk Z?

Juruki 03-29-2012 06:58 PM

it all depends on the offsets. Do you know your offets?

igota21incher 03-29-2012 09:07 PM

19x9.5 +18 19x11 +11

have a look at my album, has a few photo's, will be doing a shoot in next couple of weeks but should get an idea from that.

I'm running different profiles to keep wheel diameter the same, If I was to run a 305/30 instead of 305/25 it would be to much difference from front to back wheel diameter, running 255/30 and 305/25 keeps them very close to each other.

im kinda lost... the factory front nismo rim is 9.5 wide and the factory front tires are 245/40. they have very very very lil stretch. (theres pics in my albulm)

the rear 10.5 does have a lil stretch on the 285/35 tires though. so 285/35 on a 11" wide rim would be a good amount of stretch.

they DEF arent too skinny side wall wise up front.

(my rear avatar image shown to the left is with 305/30's out back)

On my 350Z i did not with a 10.5+22 TE37 but with the Volk Te37s above i ran a +12 offset and on the 350Z there is an L-shape to the inner rear fender so it had to be rolled...

With the 370Z a 275 gets swallowed up... I would say a 285 minimum for the width out back and for the 370 since there is no L-shape in the inner rear fender (sort of pre-rolled) you can go a lot more aggressive and closer to the fender :)-without worrying about rubbing

295 on a 20x11 +0 offset

jurki, thats a 25 profile in the rear right? anyone have pics of a 295/30 or even a 285/30? also... from my understanding, different tire companies have different types of side walls. so, even though they might have the same specs numbers wise, they will look different when mated to the same rim size?

Juruki 03-30-2012 12:12 PM

^^ yup, 295/25/20
