Lost Lug Lock Key need assistance :)
First off, I know I didnt lose it since Ive never used it. The place that changed my rear tires stated they havent seen it but they were the last place to use it. ANYWAYS..... My new rims are coming in and I am attempting to remove the stockies but Key for the Lock Lug is MISSING. Whats the best way to remove this? I can not drive the car to a wheel shop so I need to buy somethign that will remove it.
Any help would greatly be appreciated. Also I will not be reusing them so damaging them isnt a concern. I just dont want to use a saw or etc to remove it

This happened to me and I just found a 12 point socket that just fit over it by hammering it on and then turned it with a ratchet. If the socket is too big to fit inside the nut well you will have to grind the outside of the socket.
It was actually unsettling how quickly it worked. |

I got my Z used with 9k on it and no key for the wheel locks in it. The Nissan dealer here had a set of masters for the stock wheel lock (Magard) and had them off in minutes. Might check with Nissan Dealer instead of drilling and stripping them.

There are 12 different wheel locks for the OEM nissan lock. Take it to a dealership and have them replace the lock with a normal lug. They have the entire master set.

happened to me about a month ago, I dug through my car and found a sheet with the lug key manufacturer (McGaurd) came with info and contact #. Ordered me a new lug key for 15 bucks and came home in 3-4 days. Also called nissan, they were trying to sell me a new set for 40 bucks, but they do have the master key so you can take them off momentarily

Probably a little (lot) late but what you need is something like this:
Sears: Online department store featuring appliances, tools, fitness equipment and more You hammer the appropriate sized socket onto the lug and it will take it right off. Hardest part is getting the lock out of the socket! |
