tires for base model

Hi I've got 20k miles on my advan sport OE tires and they are already worn out. I have the base model with stock rims.

Could someone reccomend a good tire size and/or brand as replacements? I don't know much about tire/rim fitment. I know more than one tire size can fit a rim. Should I stick with the OE tire size or go for more meatier or wider tires? I'm looking for a tire that will provide the best handling and wouldn't want anything lower profile than stock size.

Thanks A Lot for your help

Just plug in your vehicle information and product. It will show you by brand and what not. You'll be able to tell the better performing tires by reviews and other spec factors.

Post back with your results. I am looking to pick up a set of oem 370 wheels for my 300zx but already have tires. Fitment will be key.

I picked up a set of the continental DWS and am very happy with them.

thanks but tirerack only has one review for a 370z and similar vehicles and they are on the OE advan sport tires.

Whats a tire size other than O.E. that can fit the base model rims? I'm wondering cause I'm gonna be ordering my tires from Costco and they only have two types of tires that are the OE size. I'm hoping they might have more options if I went with different tire size.

You can go up to a 235/40 or 235/45 front and a 255/40 or 265/40 rear.

Thanks. Can't I go 245/45 for the front? I'm thinking 265/40 for the back.

Im a tire shop employee for Costco in Texas. I personally will be goin with a 255/45 for the front and a 275/40 in the rear. Im also on the base 18's

Not to threadjack, but I'm sorta in the same boat. Since I'm getting new wheels, I've decided to get my stock base rims fitted with winter tires. Any good recommendations?

Will a 255/45 fit upfront?

corbin09 04-22-2012 12:02 AM

It will fit, it will just look a little funny.

chrischhorn 04-22-2012 12:10 AM

go to 1010tires.com Or even the manufacturers tires that you are lookin at for size specs. 255/45 is recommended for 8"-9.5" wheels

Illmatic370z 06-28-2012 04:02 PM

Would 255/40/18 be a good fit for the rear on base rims?
