370z MEATY TIRE THREAD

I agree you shouldn't have any issues at all. For me, the difference in tire height is too much. I chose tires that look closer in height front to rear.

Hey guys, I know this may have been asked already but there's a ton of info here to sort through: Will I lose height going from 245/40 to 265/35 fronts and 285/35 to 305/30 rears?

The same calculation can be used for any tire. Multiply the tire width (245) by the profile (.40) to get the mm height.

EX. 245 x .40 = 98 mm, 265 x .35 = 92.75 mm

The answer is yes, you would lose height going from a 245/40 to a 265/35

The offset doesn't matter since you are calculating the width/height of the wheel/tire combo. The offset comes into play whenever you start thinking about how you want them to fit under your fenders and potentially clear BBKs.

Taylortoons, thank you!!

So if I don't want to lose height because I plan on keeping the stock Nismo suspension, can I go 265/40/19 front and 305/35/19 rear with spacers all around? Haven't seen a writeup on this size yet. Most common set up is 265/35 and 305/30 with some sort of drop.

265 x .40 = 106 mm, 8mm higher than stock in front. 305 x .35 = 106.75 mm, 7mm higher than stock in the rear. Just don't know if I'll have any rubbing issues.

Those are huge! Maybe there is a good reason no one is running that setup.

Maybe some day you'll be with the "Wide Rollers".

I'm trying, believe me. Going on vacation next week. Going to Colorado Springs, then to Moab, then to Lake Powell Ut, then to Denver, then to Cheyenne Wy, then to Black Hills SD, then home on the 19th. Unless I get a bug up my a$$ and say screw it with work and e-mail them my retirement request. Doing a trackday at Pitt Race on 7/25 for sure. Trying to work my schedule so that I can get more time for Z things.
