I know it's the safe and sure way to go...but I really wanted to try 325...and I mean try, that's why I bought a used set to see if they'll fit and if they do, how they drive. It seems like I got my answer, because they don't fit...but I stongly beleive that it's because of the sidewall of the runflat tire...unfortunate for me I didn't even know I was buying runflats and that they could cause a problem with fitment.

325 takes a 11.5" wide rim to look right. I have 325's on 12" right now. 325's on a 10.5" rim will be pinched. And You're trying runflats. Think they might take a different type of rim. And that's why they was having trouble trying to seat the bead.

Well there are different types of runflats, like the Michelin PAX System requires special wheels that have special lips and an inner ring. Goodyear EMT however are made to be mounted on a reqular wheel, replacing a regular tire with no modification. However, the width I'm trying to run is a bit wide for my wheel obviously, and that in combination with the low profile and super stiff sidewall seems to make my tire/wheel combo impossible to fit

Are you using longer wheel studs to fit the spacers? Link to the ones you are using would be great. I don't want any breaking bunch of junk. LOL New tires are going to be a must in a very short time.

Thing is, I can get a pair of RS3-S 325/30/19s for $368 shipped (atleast right now), 305/30/19s I won't be able to get for much under $500...plus I really want to try 325s...looks like noone's done it so I'll post pics when I do
![]() 305s look good on the 10" wide rays, that's why I want 315 or 325 on the 10.5" rays |

Well it's the same height as the sidewall on the original 285/35/19. A tire size calculator can confirm the diameter is 4mm less on the 325 vs the 285, that's a 0.6% difference, so that means that the sidewall on the 325/30/19 is actually 2mm (0.3%) lower than the one on the original 285/35/19...that's if tires are made with that kind of acuracy...which they are not since we all know that 2 "same size" tires from 2 different manufacturers can have quite a difference, however, the tire size calculator can give you a relative idea of tire size differences.

The RE11's, while not a runflat, do have a stiffer sidewall than most tires. My friend and I were both running 305/30's on the sport rays, he had ps2's i believe and i have re11's, his did bulge and mine had no bulge. The minimum side recommended for a 305 tire is a 10.5 inch wheel. So the .5 isnt too far of a stretch to make it fit. There is no way in the world I would attempt anything bigger on my wheel though. Even if someone could mount it... that being said the same goes for the 325 on a 10.5 inch wheel. Trying to get it on a wheel thats an inch narrower than the minimum recommended size... I wouldnt chance it OP, it could become a big safety issue just my .02 though. The 305 looks great on the nismo wheels IMO

We are also not taking into account for a buged/stretched sidewall vs one that is straight (flush) with the wheel. Technically, the straighter (flusher) the sidewall is, the taller it would be, so a 325/30/19 should have an overall lower profile sidewall on that wheel than the original 285/35/19 that is almost flush.

I really don't understand your obsession with 325s but I am curious to see the result

Will post pics sometime next week hopefully ![]() Btw, my 285/35/19s from the rear are going in the front ![]() I'm sure those would fit fine on the 9.5s, plus the tires have camber wear from being in the reat and my Z has no front camber wear so it should work just fine..for a while |
