370z MEATY TIRE THREAD

These meaty setups look great One question I have for those in the know... Would the larger mass actually create less performance in a straight line acceleration?

Where the vehicle is traction limited it may provide benefit. (First gear launch)

The rest of the straight line accel will suffer

I just feel I need to apply to much steering input to counter the wondering while driving at almost any speeds. Again it is not a huge deal but its noticeable.

PSI is about 35 all around. I've used the shoe polish method during autocross and tire preasure is spot on or I'm not driving hard enough...one of the two.

What do you mean by "...the nose of the car more closed"?

Thanks for the help!
Hi sorry for the late response lol. I mean the nose of the car more closed by being less twichy, the problem with that you will wear out the outside part of the tires more. Another thin I noticed is that you went from:
front stock 245 to 265
rear 275 to 285

so you increased te front width by more % wise than the rear, the car (in theory) will oversteer more. also you went from 40 profile up front to 35 and the rear stayed the same with 35 profile. Maybe that makes the car fel different to you. this means the front will be lower to the ground compared to stock, only in the front.

Looks good.

Is it the light or does the red on nismo bumper look darker?

new front wheel sizing on my car, Same Enkei PF01, old size used to be 18x9.5 et15 on 275/35/18, now its 18x10.5 et28 on 285/35/18. Rear size is still the same at 18x10.5 et15 with a 295/35/18. Soon my next set of tires will be 285/35/18 all around in either Hankook RS3 or Nitto NT05

here is the front inside clearance, 18x10.5 et28, i know 18x10.5 et30 still clears with a 285/35/18 but i think that's prolly the limit

yes due to the fact that the overall circumfrance of the tire has increased a little bit. It depends on how big the size change is.

They're for AutoX so it's function over form. Also probably going with shorter tires after I burn through these.
