In plain English, offset dictates how sunken the wheel is into the wheel well. Offset is an important criterion in choosing wheels. Offset greatly changes the look (or stance) of the car, which is many times why we buy aftermarket wheels in the first place. Offset is needed to determine brake caliper clearance. Also, offset sometimes can dictate the width of tires and rims that can be used.

OK I did only google offsets last night. So yes now I understand it much better.
Just amazing how much there is to wheels when shopping for them, it really isn't that simple and straight forward. There is wheel size, width, offset, Tyre size, wall thickness and plenty more etc to shop for lol when choosing wheels. I thought I could just pick a wheel that I like the looks of and that's it. |

^ I thought Michelin only makes Cup 2 now, how did you get a fresh set of Cup tires? Why not Cup 2? Nice and fat either way, congrats
