Broken Wheel, Anyone had this problem (Pics)

I don't buy the whole wheel failure theory. If it fails and shears off like that, its going to break off instantly, no shaking as if its about to fail.

I don't buy the whole wheel failure theory. If it fails and shears off like that, its going to break off instantly, no shaking as if its about to fail. My guess is we're missing a huge chunk of the story here. It looks like this:
