anyone running on Continental ExtremeContact DW?

hey what's up guys,
I was on Tire Rack to check out some tire for this summer and
found that Continental ExtremeContact DW is damn pretty cheap.
Continental ExtremeContact DW
however, 245/45/18 is more expensive somehow, idk y.
do you guys recommend 275/45/18 rear or 275/40/18 rear?
I currently own 18' base rims.

I have the DW's and i really like em. GReat grip, and even though ive had em for about 6k, its got ALOT of tread left. also in terms of road noise, much quiter than OEM.

but i don't know why 245 is more expensive than 275

go with the 275/40/18 the overall diameter will be nearly identical to stock. Obviously just a wider tire.

I don't know why its more expensive. Overstock maybe? Still a lot cheaper than the Advans.

what about the front? should i go 245/45/18? or 245/40/18?

I have seen some decent reviews for the HTR Z III, but the DW will definitely perform better in everything but price.

I figured that too. I heard HTR Z III is loud when you drive, worn out fast, and not much of grip on the wet surface. I guess DW is the best for the price

Yeah, I'd get the DW.

I was looking at Michelin PSS for the 5.0, but since I just bought an S2000 and it needs tires too I might just get DW for both cars... it will cost the same as PSS for the Mustang.

The smaller tire size costs more because of demand. I'm sure they sell a ton more 245 wide tires vs 275.

I'm with Dudesky ... I would like to have a little bigger tires without changing my rims right now. What would you guys suggest up front and in rear? I don't know much about tire size specs ... I would like to keep the height of the setup close to stock if possible. I do not want to change to a size that will be too stretched on the rim or cause trouble with sidewall flexing. I plan on this being my daily driver and weekend autocrosser. Thanks for any help guys!

There are tire size calculators, and there's a sticky thread that lists various combinations. I went from 245/40 & 275/35 to 255/35 & 285/35 to 275/35 & 305/30. What I really want is 265/35 & 305/30. With the DWs, my only choice is 265/35 & 285/35.
