I have DW's on my Z in 255/285.
They're simply stellar. Full Disclosure: Continental is a sponsor of mine and all, but seriously, some of the best tires I've ever had, not nearly the most expensive and lightyears ahead of the (brand new) 'Premium' Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's that were on the car when I bought it. |

you'd have to compare with the latest pilot-supersports if DW's. |

sorry to bump this thread...but did anyone just change the rears? i
changed mine...and my car is super squirrelly now. the rear tends to wander at high speeds (50mph+). im on the stock yoko advan sports up front (they still have at least 5k left and dont want to change them) and i have NOT gotten an alignment. could the wheels just be off balance? im running 36 PSI cold. could it be the deep treads? ive put at least 200 miles on them and its not gotten any better nevermind, posted without reading someone else's experience above anyway...i guess ill wait it out. these tires scared the **** out of me!!! |

This is going to sound silly, but my front Hankooks are really bald on the inside. There's not enough tread to rotate the front tires so I ordered a pair of 256/35 DWs. It'll be the first time trying out a different brand. It sounds silly because my rear 305/30 Hankooks still have decent tread left and it hasn't been a year yet.
I notice the reviews are a bit better than the Hankook tires, but I'm a bit concerned about the softer sidewall. How's cornering capability compared to OEM and Hankook? Also, any of you guys able to compare treadwear? Overall price is just a tad higher than Hankook. Since it is a daily driven turbo car I want to make sure there are no surprises when I'm making a turn without getting accustomed to the new tires. So far it seems like I'll burn up 2 sets of rear tires before replacing the fronts.

I think ive decided to go with the DWs after reading these reviews and others on this site.
I have the sport package 19"s so.... the OEM specs for the tires are as follows: 245/40/19 275/35/19 id like a little more grip but i dont want to get too far away from stock. whats a good recommendation that will keep me 'almost' stock |

2.25mm difference in tire height... not too bad.
I started with 255/35 & 285/35, then to 275/35 & 305/30, and currently 265/35 & 305/30. Conti doesn't have 305/30, so I may step down to 285/35.
