New tire size, do I need to make any suspension/alignment changes?

I searched the forum several times, but did not get a clear answer if I am not interested in lowering the ride height yet.

SO:

I switched from stock 9x19 and 10x19 to 9x20 and 11x20

Outer diameter stayed the same (26.56 to 26.92 range)

Do I need to make any suspension changes if I don't want to lower the car?
Do I need to make any changes to toe, camber, angle etc?

Thank you

You would only need alignment changes if you alter the height of the vehicle as this will change the camber/caster/toe.

I would suggest lowering it though.... Not sure what offsets you are rocking with the new wheels but either way you may want to lose the wheel well gap that will be exaggerated with the new wheels.

Even a 1 inch drop you should have no problem having a good alignment shop bring the specs back within the stock range for camber and toe and it will look a lot better with that slight drop.

If I wanted to lower the car about 2cm, (.79 of an inch) what would be my best course of action?

Rules of engagement:
Handling cannot be lessened.
Comfort cannot be lessened.
Car should not bottom out.
I moved to a 2"0 tire from the stock 19", so the ride is already going to be a little firmer/harder

and yes, I do like the look of the lowered car.

ps I looked at the tanabe springs N210 but read mixed reviews

I always at least have the alignment checked when I get new wheels/tires. That way there are no surprises. Alignment checks are always free in this area.

Ok here goes-
I had Tanabe GF210 springs on my Z.
Review- looked a lot better 1-1.2 drop
Handling- ok a little less body roll then stock but the ride was a little more bouncy due to the stock strut being used. I could go on for ever more in depth on this.

Switched to BC racing coilovers and it was a million times better.

If you decide to lower and have the money grab a set of coilovers. You will be able to adjust the height, dampening, pre-load etc. The ride will be better then stock and u can choose how high or low to go. The advantage of a coilover is when you lower it the strut piston does not shorten thus not giving a bouncy feel and all the other horrible things you will feel with springs on stock struts.

Good luck with your choices, if you go an inch 1.5 inch drop it won't be impractical but will make the car look and ride much better. (Coilovers of course)
