Time to replace my tires.
245/275 Hankook RS-3 come out to be $878 245/275 Michelin PSS come out to be $760.2 I know the Hankook are going to have more grip in the dry than the Michelin Super Sports, but how much more are we talking? The only racing I do is autocross monthly and the occasional drag strip. Are the Hankooks worth spending 100 more or should I just get the PSS? Also how much faster will the RS-3's wear than the PSS? |

I got the PSS i came from the v-12, HUGE DIFFERENCE, the only bad thing about the PSS is highway road noise, loud.

You nred the hankook and bs to be fast in autox,, probably around half to one sec over michelin. Regardless, your tire size suck anyway. You need a wider front tire to get the car to turn

To the OP's question: The PSS is a great street tire. Sidewall give is a little bit high for hard tracking, and you'll notice the tire wearing hard if you track seriously. The plus is a huge range of acceptable operating temps and great manners. The RS3 is going to be faster than the PSS, and still offer a pretty solid temp range. It is obviously pricier and a little iffier in the wet. The temp range is huge (IMO) for a autoX'd Z, since you are usually going to be cooking your front tires on a tight course. I like the RS3s if you take the autoXing seriously and don't do much in the rain. I also second cossie on needing a fatter front. 245s don't even come close to cutting it for the Z. |

I ended up ordering the PSS, living in Alabama you have to be ready for a random flooding that happens every once in a while. PSS seems like the way compromise for street/performance. |
