Snow Tires! Blizzak LM60 19"
Hey,
I'm currently using my stock 19" Potenza summer tires that I got from Nissan and wanting to change to a set of winter tires. My friend have just moved out of the city and left me a set of 19" Blizzak LM60 that was previously used on his M3. The problem is the measurements of my Potenza tires and the Blizzak tires are not exactly the same. Would I be able to fit the tires on my stock rims and will it work effectively? Measurements: My original tires: front: 245/40R19 94W rear: 275/35R19 96W The blizzak snow tires: front: 225/40R19 89H rear: 255/40R19 100H Thanks guys, really appreciate it. |
yah, you can fit them and will work hell of a lot better than your RE050A's in snow... but they will make your car's front ride height shorter (closer to ground due to thinner side wall by 8mm)
245/40 = 98mm 225/40 = 90mm the fronts are pretty narrow so you'd want to watch out for curbing your wheels as well. tires will be very stretched. The rears are fine other than for watching out for curbs as well. might want to just get new front pair in the correct size? also, make sure you go to a shop that has a no-touch mounter. otherwise scuff and gauging wheel damage will happen. |
thx kenchan,
what do you mean "watch out for curbing"? For curbs do you mean the car ride height will be lower? |
I mean, "the ride height will be lower, thats why watch out for curbs"?
|
nono, our stock RE050A's have curb protectors on the sidewalls of the tires (to prevent wheel to contact curbs). that will nolonger be existent cause your tires will be stretched.
just watch out parking near curbs. :D |
Oh I see. ok got it, thanks man...

I have 255/40/19 all around, you will be fine
