It may be totally unrelated, but in my old S-10 the pitman arm and idler arm were both old and worn out, turned out there was some flex going on when I would turn the wheel. I could be going straight and hit a slight bump and my truck would jump in a different direction. There's a small chance it could be your steering components, but it sounds like it's just your bigger, grippier new tires

I have a 255/295 setup as well and I get this too.
When I get my next set of DD tires, I'll switch to a 265/285 setup.

To the moderators...sorry, I wasnt sure if my first post got buried and I left out tire sizes and the fact that there were some miles on the new rears which I thought couldve been at issue.
To the responders...Thanks again, more responses are helpful. Pretty sure I just need to run it a while and recheck everything. The good news is this car should handle fine with stock tires, its not a car design issue. Thanks again! |
