The dealer is full of s**t?
The outer diameter for tires on the 18" wheels provided properly selected is the same diameter as on the sport wheels (i.e. when you go down in wheel diameter you go up in tire profile), there should be no speedometer error. The TPMS system used is also the same so there should be no issue reprogramming. Sorry but your dealer has idiots in the service department - go somewhere else.
