Hey guys did you guys eliminate the TPMS in order to install the SSRs? I have SP3s waiting to be installed and I'm worried I may have to bore out the valve stem opening to fit the TPMS.

SATX_NISMO 06-19-2013 08:46 AM

I left mine out. I also believe Scott (Sfearl1) did as wheel. He didn't mention running any tpm adapter. I just pulled off one of the little round plastic Nismo valve stem cap covers on top to cover up the Tpm warning light. I thought of the idea this morning before work. It fits perfectly and is thick enough to completely cover darken the warning light. Ill post picks tonight.

19x9.5 +11 F - 19x11 +12 R SBC finish face, step lip.

Car is for sale by the way. Need to get another truck so can't justify keeping both since I won't be leaving the new truck stock. LOL...!!

What size tires are you running?

SATX_NISMO 06-19-2013 01:06 PM

245/35/20 F and 275/30/20 R. But could fit a 295/30 /20 rear easily.

I ran my setup without the TPMS. Just check your tire psi more frequently and you will be fine.

Waiz 07-06-2013 04:07 PM

I added a 5mm spacer to the rear on my Fit to match the front setup, I like the way it sits overall

I didn't think I would like a matte black wheel but these have such a durable finish I really can tell the quality.

Tu, did you actually try to install them or did you just decide just to not bother with it at all?

Hey Waizz
Yes I did try but didn't want to modify my new wheels just to fit the tpms. The whole needs to be bored out to fit the tpms.

zfamous 07-10-2013 11:59 AM

The Type F's look good. I recently saw SSR post some up. I guess they're having a sale going on? Still sad that they've discontinued that set.

Waiz 07-10-2013 12:26 PM

They should have at least one set for sale, keep an eye on their sale page for more info:

More Japan Sale - More Japan :: Since 2003

EastBayZed 07-12-2013 01:41 AM

Test fit (need alignment), need to adjust a little bit maybe add a spacer in the front/rear, but good enough for this week. Just a little sneak peek...If any bay area guys are going to the Blox open house on Saturday stop by and say hi as I will be showing. Let me know what you think!

Specs:
SSR CV02S (SBC)
20X10 ET +22

EastBayZed 07-12-2013 07:19 PM

cooltoy 07-12-2013 07:47 PM

CV02 is regular lip and thus CV02(S)=step lip. No ride height pics yet, planning on a photo shoot in the near future as the pic was from install day, but it looks great at ride height too. Always like those type f's^, very nice mdxj.

cooltoy 07-12-2013 10:30 PM

Ahhh. Thanks for the clarification.

I've got one from the Blox open house, I'll post it later tonight for ya.

Here ya go, no alignment yet, fully aired out (could lower the coils though to go lower, but not needed) in the front almost in the rear as I needed to place a towel underneath the FI exhaust to prevent the mufflers from digging into the asphalt. There's a couple other pics floatin' around the web pretty similar though.

^^ nice, must!

im liking those new GTFO wheels. :icon17: kinda reminds me of advans though.
too bad they dont offer ET32 for front in 19x9 or ET35 in 19x9.5

ET22 would fit my G perfectly, but that's not the kind of theme i want on my G...
