There are a few sets for sale on Yahoo Auctions Japan. Most likely, it'll be easier to get them there than here since cats are lazy when it comes to shipping (in my experience from the last sets that came available). Get with Jesse Streeter or RHD Japan of you don't already have a Japanese contact.

Thanks ! Already scoped out yahoo , figured I would try here too .

Now that I think about it, check Croooober as well (not sure how many "o"s though)

Just received my M6 Chrome pierce bolts for the SSR’s,
I got a few questions for the experts Are the SSR WHEELS welded from the barrels? Once I swap out the pierce bolts and torque them down to specs do I need to reseal with new silicone or leave as is cus they are welded Thanks |
They are sealed with a sealant. They are not welded.

I’m about to change colors This just happen ….sad |
its not the angle
its the specs |
I went with the Super Concave version (sold them to Jerry).
As for sticking out, ever so slightly, not quite Ben Hurr style, but close Miss those wheels and the Z! |

It’s gotta be the black lips, it’s time for a color change Polish lips/face undecided |
For some wheels, I could have sworn there was a flag in the chart that warmed that certain specs would have the flange stick past the barrel, but I didn't see it on the Executor sheet

Bumping this to provide some word of warning in case anyone is considering SSR three piece wheels in the future.
I picked up some curb rash one one a wheel and had to repair it. The process has been absurdly difficult: 1) SSR welds the barrel and lip, so it's effectively a two piece wheel, not three. Splitting a welded wheel is difficult and you aren't guaranteed to ever get it back to spec after putting it back together. 2) Even if you do split it, SSR won't sell replacement faces, lips or barrels, so...good luck? You are forced to repair the original part as best you can or go used. 3) Asking for the paint code? LOL 4) Oh, and the bolts used to fix the face to the barrel? They're M6x30, internal spline drive. You aren't gonna find a replacement aftermarket with the correct shape, and you DEFINITELY won't find them in red, if that's what you happened to order. They don't sell replacements, either. If you lose or break a bolt, you are SOL. I am forced to drill out to m7 to use a more commonly available size (as in . . .you can actually find m7 bolts made for wheels) They did not offer TPMS drilling from the factory when I ordered the wheel, which is stupid since so many new years require TPMS. of course, after my wheels arrived, they announced this year they are going to offer TPMS drilling. I wanted laser-etching on my lips, which looked available, only to learn after ordering that they can't do it on painted lips. Oops. All this means that for rash on one wheels, I had to repaint all 4 wheels to get a color match (because they won't sell me a lip in the right size, and it's too hard to perfectly match one lip) Then re-drill the assembly holes to m7 Then buy a new set of assembly bolts to match (no more red, back to stainless steel) After doing all this work to fix my SSRs, they'll probably go up for sale. I'm going with Work or Rays for any future wheels |
Wow, what a nightmare. Are the flanges on a typical 12-point M6x1x30 assembly bolt too large to fit inside the recesses on the wheel face?
|
The ones we tried were too small
Also, they have to be stainless steel, aluminum isn't strong enough a small minor annoying thing that really got to me: They sell red valve stem caps (at least, they're advertised as red). They are not red. They're magenta. They don't match the red assembly bolts. how can you not match your own red? Anyways, the general principle of making it impossible for your customers to do any sort of service on the wheels after purchase is incredibly frustrating, on top of using special parts that aren't available elsewhere. |
These have a flange diameter of 13mm. I would suspect they are made of ss. I had a set of bolt powdercoated red and they came out looking like anodized aluminum red.
|
Looked at those. I was looking for internal drive
|
Not sure if this might work. The entire length of the bolt is threaded.
