Pretty darn good deal! |
Thx Waizzz. I had no idea the GTV are flow formed. At this price point forget Forgestars! It's a shame the GTV01/2 do not come in 19x10.5:confused:

I was thinking I'd weight them after. I don't imagine PC would add much weight, if any.
They were pretty light when I held them. I want to say less than 20lbs but unsure by how much. I'll try to get exact numbers as soon as I can. |
Take pics of the scale and wheels and post it in the wheel weight thread. Please. Or Post them here and I'll add them to the thread.
|
will do
|
Congrats on getting your wheels Denny, your set will be the first I actually get to see installed on a Z in person

BTW, Eddie from Dynamic Autosports in Santa Ana has a BNIB set of 19" Type Fs for sale for a good price if anyone is looking for a set. |

Rim size is 18x9.5. Totally aware that they're flow formed. No one would believe you could get a forged rim for $1500 total. The GTF-01, however, IS forged and goes for $700 a wheel. Same exact design as the GTV-01. |

I should double check the scale and get a second opinion. This was the only one I can find in the house. But anyway, first z, I think, with these wheels and first one in bronze I believe. That's one heavy towel.
|
Yeah, couldn't get the wheel on the scale and have the display visible so had to lock in the weight and take a picture without the wheel.
|
dang.. that's alot of wheel weights on the rim.....
|
Don't think that is the correct weight but the wheels look good regardless
|
sorry but I think the factory gunmetal looked better...why did they powder coat the ssr emblem?
|
So which GTV01 offset do I want that is the equivalent to sports with 20mm front and 25mm rear spacers?
Actually...they aren't wide enough are they? I'd like to keep stock tire widths. How about 19" GTF01s? Or are those only as wide as 10.5"? |

What center cap are you going with as well? Quote:

Thanks !! Tire size i am currently running 255/35/20 all round. And for center caps are the SSR B TYPE High. |
Ordered some SSR that will take 4 months to build :( 9.5 +12 and 11 +11. I had tires before I ordered the wheels. RS3's 275/35/19 305/30/19. What's the chances of those tires fitting w/o me rubbing? My options are to keep 305, but RS3's don't come in anything else besides 245, 275, 305. Or I keep the 275 in the rear and get a 255 front w/ 35 sidewall. The 255 305 setup would be mismatching tires -- which sucks, but oh well.

Rears will be fine but you are gonna rub in the front for sure unless you run some serious negative camber
|
As long as you're not super low you could run that 275-35 front setup
I have seen a 285-35-19 on a 19x10.5 +22 in the Volk thread that had no issue running up front I would dial in some negative camber but as long as you're not street sweeping you don't need a ton |
Here's a few snaps of my old car with SSR Type C RS
