Pretty darn good deal!

Thx Waizzz. I had no idea the GTV are flow formed. At this price point forget Forgestars! It's a shame the GTV01/2 do not come in 19x10.5:confused:

You never know, they offer them in the future!

(I am just guessing)

Zbrah 05-08-2014 07:51 PM

For good reason, they look great!

But yea, it's kinda awkward like seeing another dude rocking the same shirt you got on lol

As someone who owns a set of Type-F's I personally didn't care if everyone had one, still a great wheel

kentstuh 06-21-2014 01:24 AM

Anyone with the new SP4 yet?

Very nice bro, cant wait to see that special color on your car. Do you happen to weigh them before dropping them off to powder coat?

dP3NGU1N 07-14-2014 12:17 PM

I was thinking I'd weight them after. I don't imagine PC would add much weight, if any.

They were pretty light when I held them. I want to say less than 20lbs but unsure by how much. I'll try to get exact numbers as soon as I can.

cooltoy 07-14-2014 01:41 PM

Take pics of the scale and wheels and post it in the wheel weight thread. Please. Or Post them here and I'll add them to the thread.

dP3NGU1N 07-14-2014 01:53 PM

will do

Waiz 07-14-2014 08:27 PM

Congrats on getting your wheels Denny, your set will be the first I actually get to see installed on a Z in person

What size did you get? They're not forged but flow formed so they'll be heavier than a forged monoblock wheel. The GTVs will pass all the same strength tests that SSRs Forged stuff must pass for JWL testing but at a slightly heavier weight.

BTW, Eddie from Dynamic Autosports in Santa Ana has a BNIB set of 19" Type Fs for sale for a good price if anyone is looking for a set.

Picking the rims up tomorrow, should have them mounted, balanced, and on the car sometime this weekend.

Rim size is 18x9.5. Totally aware that they're flow formed. No one would believe you could get a forged rim for $1500 total. The GTF-01, however, IS forged and goes for $700 a wheel. Same exact design as the GTV-01.

Wheels weighed in at a disappointing 25.2lbs. I should double check the scale and get a second opinion. This was the only one I can find in the house.

But anyway, first z, I think, with these wheels and first one in bronze I believe.

That's one heavy towel.

dP3NGU1N 07-20-2014 03:13 AM

Yeah, couldn't get the wheel on the scale and have the display visible so had to lock in the weight and take a picture without the wheel.

kentstuh 07-20-2014 07:23 PM

dang.. that's alot of wheel weights on the rim.....

Waiz 07-26-2014 01:42 PM

Don't think that is the correct weight but the wheels look good regardless

sunkist350z 07-26-2014 03:48 PM

sorry but I think the factory gunmetal looked better...why did they powder coat the ssr emblem?

Arrvaxx 08-04-2014 09:17 PM

So which GTV01 offset do I want that is the equivalent to sports with 20mm front and 25mm rear spacers?

Actually...they aren't wide enough are they? I'd like to keep stock tire widths.

How about 19" GTF01s? Or are those only as wide as 10.5"?

Tire specs? Any issues with rubbing?

Waiz 08-20-2014 05:01 PM

I am starting to see more cars with the new GT-V lines installed

Loving the cancavity of these GTV-02's

Looking good, what tire sizes are you running?

What center cap are you going with as well?

Thanks !!

Tire size i am currently running 255/35/20 all round.
And for center caps are the SSR B TYPE High.

mag_black 09-11-2014 09:41 PM

Ordered some SSR that will take 4 months to build :( 9.5 +12 and 11 +11. I had tires before I ordered the wheels. RS3's 275/35/19 305/30/19. What's the chances of those tires fitting w/o me rubbing? My options are to keep 305, but RS3's don't come in anything else besides 245, 275, 305. Or I keep the 275 in the rear and get a 255 front w/ 35 sidewall. The 255 305 setup would be mismatching tires -- which sucks, but oh well.

Rears will be fine but you are gonna rub in the front for sure unless you run some serious negative camber

Waiz 09-19-2014 11:08 AM

As long as you're not super low you could run that 275-35 front setup

I have seen a 285-35-19 on a 19x10.5 +22 in the Volk thread that had no issue running up front

I would dial in some negative camber but as long as you're not street sweeping you don't need a ton
