spacer install and steering wheel shaking

so today I intalled spacers, 20mm rear and 15mm front.

They are all bolt on spacers. I testdrove it and when the car goes above 10

miles/hr, the steering wheel is shaking crazy. What did I do wrong here? Feel

free to give me ur opinions. Thank you guys....

im assuming that alignment is needed after putting spacer on front? any opinions ?

no, if you used the bolt on 15's on your front stock wheels you need to grind down the stock studs some so that it clears the back surface cavity of your wheels.

Definitely need more info... what brand of spacers and style. Double check your torque and clearances for the studs.

well he mentioned 15mm bolt on type so that's already a nono for the front regardless of the brand for stock wheels.

and torque wont matter either as the back of the wheel is sitting on the stock studs... if he torques more than spec the wheel will probably give.

15mm front bolt on does not work. The wheel will not seat properly. You need to use stud replacement spacers for that size.

yah, scott, if you're committed to those wheels you will need to grind down the stock studs a little bit so that it clears the back of the stock wheels.

otherwise get the stud replacement type spacer. imho, i would just grind down the stock studs unless you know you're going to get aftermarket wheels later. the stock 19's and nismo 19's are great looking wheels.

I tried to remove the spacer today and the wheels are not coming off guys... wtf

Yes, please don't drive the car...seriously...don't even get tempted to drive it even if it is down the street.

To get the wheels off, you may have to apply pressure on one side or kick the tires...double check you didn't damage the threads on the studs of the spacer from the wheels rubbing on it.

yah, loosely screw in 3 lugs at the top and kick the very bottom of the tire sidewall. should come off.

after the wheel is off the car take a very good look at the back of the wheel and make sure there are no cracks on the wheel to the lug bores. if you see any cracking your wheel is toast. it's from the torquing of the lugs with the stock studs protruding (not from kicking the tiresidewall to remove the wheel off the car).

I took the wheels off after having a very hard time and the back of front wheel is messed up. but no crack anyways..

luckily you posted on here but if you did a little more research there are a lot of threads saying bolt on 15's won't work on the fronts
