I wasn't patient enough for a Z with a sport package and really don't like the 18s on my base... Has anyone tried the Maxima Sport 19s on the Z?

Maxima Sport 19s
I wasn't patient enough for a Z with a sport package and really don't like the 18s on my base... Has anyone tried the Maxima Sport 19s on the Z? I think they looks sharp on the Maxima, but can't imagine them..

The Maxima is a FWD vehicle and the widest the stock wheel comes in is a 19x8, that is going to look absurd on a Z.
I would get a used set of Sport wheels from the marketplace if you are really looking to buy a set. |

Lol... those maxima rims are hott bro. But the definately won't look right on a Z. Get some used NISMO rims and powdercoat them the maxima color. That would look hott! |

Damn! Tough crowd. I'll stick to searching for GTR wheels. That looks sick on the Z, tires are cheaper than 19s, and are priced about the same as the Z Sport Wheels. I'm just pissed that I'm stuck with a 2000 dollar back up camera and didn't have the option of the wheels.

BTW Sport wheels can be had for less than $1K and you can still sell your Base wheels for at least $600-$800 |

You're going to spend waaaay more money on GT-R wheels than on a set of Sport 19s. Tires for 20" wheels are generally MORE expensive than their 19" equivalents. Like Waizzz said, you need to do some more research bro.

I did do a bit of research, and found nothing. e.g. The reason for the thread. GTR wheels are pricey, but I didn't clarify, the 40th wheels are almost as expensive. Found these GTR wheels on the forum. Scratched but this can be fixed.

No reason to stick with OEM wheels unless you can get them used. If you want new wheels I would go aftermarket and then we will need to start with a budget and intended look. I would just be patient and keep an eye on the marketplace or even create a wanted thread in the marketplace that might help in you tracking down a set. |

Aftermarket, I'm a fan of 5AD, I have a set of 20in SF5s on my Genesis coupe.. I love the way the sport wheels look on the car, perfect in my opinion.. But the GTR wheels look even better.
I had "the best" local body shop paint a set of 19 for my 350 in Dark Slate Metallic (Altima Color match) only to find they didn't prep the wheels or use an epoxy based paint. Lost several chunks of paint to a power washer. Can't trust anyone.

I was hoping the Maxima wheels would fit right and look right... But if they will not, I'll have to settle for a photoshop hack as an idea.
