Josh - thanks for the advice as well. i dont plan on doing a minimal repair as i want to keep this car for quite a while. fortunately my deductible is only $500 so i will probably end up going that route and getting it all fixed.

this car isn't my daily driver so i wont be driving it again until i can have it looked at. I did pull it up on ramps when i got home and looked uder the car. couldnt see any further damage other than heavy scratches under the bumper from the curb before it hit the wheel. of course, i'm no mechanic so i'll probably drop it off at the dealer after work today.
