I have a little curb rash on two of my stock 19" rims. I want to get them powdercoated but don't know if I can take them to a wheel

I have a little curb rash on two of my stock 19" rims. I want to get them powdercoated but don't know if I can take them to a wheel repair place first. I'm thinking if they blast the rims prior to coating that might undo the repair??
