Need recs for affordable lightweight wheels and tires

I am slowing getting into racing with my Z and would like to buy a separate set of wheels to autocross and track my car. I will keep my dd tires and wheels for all other times. Suggestions? I don't care much about looks as function and affordability. Thx as always!

There's a nice set of very light 18" Weds currently on sale. They can work out a tire package for you too. -- Look for the Rav Spec thread on this.

I want to get them... but probably not in the budget :(

TSW nurbs and Continental DW's.

Wheels: ssr type f or enkei rpf1 are going to win for weight to price. Forgestars are also a decent option, lead time is ridiculous though.

For tires, how aggressive are you looking to go?

you think? nurbs only weight about 21-23lbs and only like 275 shipped each.

DW's weigh considerbly less than RE050A's or comparable by 4-6lbs each for the same size. total weight is a huge savings over stock.

get your head out of your horse (mustang)'s arse and look around. :icon17:

I still haven't seen those weights proved. Last set I saw was notably heavier than advertised (like rpfs used to be). Regardless, 9.5 type fs are 18lbs, and 10.5s are only 20.....

Dw's are not anywhere grippy enough and get way too greasy to track.
