How to prevent socket from jamming with the lug nut?

I love my cordless impact, but my power socket would always jam with the lug nut, creating unnecessary delay to my day. What is the best way to prevent that

Default How to prevent socket from jamming with the lug nut?

I love my cordless impact, but my power socket would always jam with the lug nut, creating unnecessary delay to my day. What is the best way to prevent that from happening? I have a 5 or 6 sided socket.

use a cordless driver (not impact) and a breaker bar. much safer on the studs too.
