Wheel Spacers 101

...based on the fact the distance between the two front wheels has been increased (let's say 30mm if you did 15mm on the fronts) does it increase the turning radius any ?

Another thing to note:
Spacers increase negative camber, which decreases understeer (not a problem on the Z)
Increases tire wear a bit as there is stronger degree of camber
Makes steering feel stiffer

Since they're the stud replacement type I had a shop do it for me. If they were the bolt on type I would have done it myself.

Ok I probably just blind lol, but does H&R or Eibach make a Type 2 10mm spacer? I've looked at a few sites online and I'm only finding Type 1's with a 10mm spacer. The lowest Type 2 that I can find is 15mm. I really don't care to replace the studs, can someone post a link to a site with 10mm Type 2 spacer

Heres another pic for you guys since we dont have enough in here. I did the 20mm all around with built in studs. Not sure if they will rub or not i got coilovers and have been messing with the suspension but its winter and the car wont move till April.

When using the 20mm spacers with the built-in studs do the wheels fit back flush against the spacer? In other word, the nuts that hold the spacer in place are deep enough so that they don't hit the wheel? Do you have to mount these spacers with an impact wrench to get them tight enough? Any idea of the correct torque? Sorry for the questions. Thanks in advance.

Yes the wheels fit good, you have to order at least a 20mm or more spacer for the stock 19"s to clear. there is some offset in the wheel to allow some of your original studs to go into, but you need at least a 20mm to do so. The spacers I bought had instructions but from Japan, I only could decode that the nuts with the kit need to be tq' to 90NM, so I impacted them on and then checked with TQ Wrench. Make sure you use a TQ wrench because my inpact didnt do the trick and the spacers are Aluminum, so a TQ wrench is recomended.

This is not accurate. I installed 15mm H&R with the built-in studs and no issues with them clearing the OEM 19s. But I believe you cannot go narrower than a 15mm spacer if not replacing the studs outright with longer ones since the nuts holding the spacer on will interfere with the wheel.
