So I hit the curb entering my office parking lot while being distracted while looking at some dude that was coming straight at me. Needless to say I now need to repair it.
![]() Step 1: Clean it with Simple green ![]() Step 2: Dremel it down ![]() Step 3: Mask the area ![]() Step 4: Apply JB Weld ![]() Step 5: Sand Dried JB Weld ![]() Step 6: Apply 1st Coat of Paint ![]() Step 7: Apply 2nd Coat of Paint ![]() This is what it looks like after it dried: ![]() Step 8: Sand the dried paint ![]() After the paint cures I think I will apply some polish. Nevertheless, I think the results are fairly good. At least it's better than having the nasty curb rash there. I used the small cylinder thing of the dremel with the sanding paper attached to it. Kinda like this: ![]() For paint I used duplicolor paint I found at advance auto parts, all it said was: Nissan Silver. I honestly think there has to be a better match out there, but for now, it will do. Last edited by 370Fan2000; 09-24-2011 at 06:54 PM. |
