I've gotten good words on the toyo proxess tires. It depends on how you want to balance mileage and grip. If you mic your tires on a regular basis and track your wear you can expect about 30-40k on those tires with lite canyon carving. The advan sports have gotten a little stronger in compound than what they used to be. I know im not stickin with the bridgestones after this.

Hands down the RE-11, have about 5k miles on them and they will not break loose. Like riding on rails.

you can look at the tread pattern then look at the specs of the tire. they are asymetrical and have thick belts running in the inner side of the tire tread. manufacturers will usually note this in their description.

toyo proxis are dated imho. and they're only decent at best. they're in the same arena as nitto tires along with the other korean makers.

They are a good mileage tire. Decent in handling i would agree. Im not saying they are sticky by an means but you can get damn good mileage out of em if you are dd.

I had Yokohama Advan AD-08s on mine. I loved them. The stickiest tire I've ever driven on (they pick EVERYTHING off the road and throw it on the car). And they grip incredibly well in the rain. I could do 110 no problem in the slickest of roads. They're $300 each, though.

Seems like no one raves on them. We all know the reasons.
anyone stick with the oem Bridgestone tires?
I replaced mine after just 2,000 miles. It was like night and day when I put a better set of tires on there. It's worth it.

I was wanting to explore the advan sport. If I had really fat pockets I woud fo for the Michelin Pilot sport, those tires are pretty much bulletproof!

RE-11s are basically a dead tire. Go with RE-71Rs, basically the new version of re RE-11s

It really depends on what you want, re71r is a great track tire for about two to four track days depending on your driving ability. Regardless they are no where close to the same tire as re11's for a dual purpose or street use.

This is why i went with S-04s, by no means a super sticky tire, but it should last me a good amount of events with DD driving aswell
